Significance of History as students?

History is Very important to all people, it plays a vital role in our daily lives... Through History, we can understand the things that is happening today, we can trace it's roots why it happened and where and When... It can give us some information just like Where, Who, When, How, Why and what... History, They said that "PAST is PAST" and most people nowadays are ignoring it but they don't know that it is IMPORTANT.. We can use the PAST as our guide in the things that we are doing and we should do TODAY or in the PRESENT for the preparation for the FUTURE, so that we can Correct our mistakes in the Past for the FUTURE..... WE should learn and study our History especially the students...

i only see it as a subject that helps you get into uni or something, but it doesn't seem useful otherwise

well no matter what field ur in history plays an intricate part in building a persons identity as well as maturity. learn from history as in learn frm them old folks mistakes. learn from history in a way u can subjectively interpret personally what u think. it teaches u to be critical minded. and history does have its significance even till this day. so u never knw whn u might need it
