Signed up with sprint today

Looks like my days with cricket might be limited... I took the dive and grabbed sprint's unlimited plan.

However, so far I'm not terribly impressed. I got a Touch, which I already hate, and I'm disillusioned by the fact that there's no MMS for the mogul or the touch... mogul also won't get sprinttv...

As I sit here tonight, I'm wondering what the benefit is... I get nationwide roaming, but in the past year, I've only needed roaming 4 times (and cricket has been passable. 3 of the 4 I couldn't text, but such is life. I can live 4 days without SMS).. I have unlimited sprint telenav, but I already had tomtom installed. Map updates would be nice, but are they really imperitive? I have insurance... Ok, that's nice, but there are 3rd party insurance companies out there.

In short, I'm really torn about what I want to do. I thought switching to sprint would eliminate the constant toying with my phone, problemsolving to make features work, etc... but I'm finding the exact opposite is true. I'll have to tinker to try and make MMS work, same goes for sprinttv.

It's a damn good thing that sprint has a 30 day cancellation policy.

I'm not 100% but back when I had contract service with Cingular they told me it's same insurance for all carriers. The insurance company verified this when I talked to a CS complaining about only two phone a year replacement policy. Beware of that too. Insurance is not really worth it since they limit you to two phones a year and charge $50 each breakage and remeraber $5 a month. I can buy a couple decent phones at ebay for what the insurances and deductible costed. May not be worth it?

Anyway great luck with Sprint. Twice the price for roaming is probably worth it if you roam....

most insurance doesn't cover PDA's over like 300 bucks :)

anyway, give it 2 weeks and you'll be back. the dropped calls and garbled calls will remind you why cricket rules.

ATT is the only company with the stupid PDA policy.. t-mobile covers them (although it's a $135 deductible) sprint i'm pretty sure covers them.. vzw definately does

the insurance company is not the same for all carriers, but there are two companies used by most carriers, assurian and the signal. but yeah they do have a two replacements per year policy on most plans. otherwise the companies would loose tons of money to fraud if you could have unlimited claims.

Lol... I'm quickly realizing that...

I want nationwide roaming, sprinttv, etc... and I want my mms to work flawlessly again.

unfortunately, sprint only offers nationwide roaming from that list of wants on my mogul.

I have a feeling I'll be staying with cricket, but I'm going to try and get some perks from my 30 day trial with sprint.
