Sigh

Nearly half of my friends hate me, my grades have been declining, my room is getting messier, I am constantly being made fun of, I spend all day on my computer or in bed, I'm not eating much, and I get about 4 hours of sleep every night.

Sigh.

Do something about it.

Just sitting and waiting for a magical faery to come by and restore everything is pointless. It won't happen.

Trust me dude, I talk out of experience.

If you don't know what to do, doesn't matter. Just do something. :)

Hey man, that sounds to me like a GOOD day. Why complain? Make new friends, who needs school, the computer kicks ass, and only four hours of sleep means more time on the kick assness that is the computer.

Sounds like you're depressed (big surprise) which can happen at any age, but there is a lot you can do for yourself to work through it. May not make you any happier, but at least you won't be self-destructing.

If you're just blowing off steam, and don't want actual feedback, feel free to ignore the rest of this post.

OK. Here goes. First off, use some time management. Meaning, before you get on your computer to visit the wonderful world of WTF, clean your room. It only takes a few minutes, and you'll see immediate results. Unless creatively arranged, messiness is depressing all on its own. Why live with that, when you can change it?

Then, after time well spent clacking the keyboard, set some time aside to finish the homework. Your reward? Grades stabilize, and you can get back on the computer without having to worry about schoolwork. You're awake anyway, might as well be productive.

If you can't eat normally, try some of those health drinks just to make sure you're getting a bit of nutrition and whatever associated vitamins they're supposed to provide. Your metabolism can probably handle the lack of food for awhile, but serious health problems (which only get worse as you get older) can result. Again, it's something you can fix all by yourself. Another bonus, you can drink them while ... guess what ... you're on the computer.

Next, on the friends thing... I think most folks on this forum "march to the beat of a different drummer", so we're kind of used to being thought "different". So what? It isn't always easy in school, when lots of folks want to be just like everyone else, but you have to admire someone who is willing to be true to themself, and isn't a carbon copy of all the other pinheads walking around. If the "friends" who hate you have a good reason for doing so, then fix it. If they are just being asswipes, then ignore them. Hang with people who appreciate the uniqueness that is you.

Cut yourself some slack and resolve to change the things over which you have control.

This concludes my 3 1/2 cents worth of advice. We now return you to the regular programming.
