This morning I swiped the front left corner of a bumper on someones truck while taking my daughter to school. The street it happened on is an extremely narrow 2-lane and someone almost backed into me.While trying to get out of the way,I ended up doing this. I knocked on a few doors and nobody answered, the ones that did,had no idea who it belonged to.I had my 3 younger daughters in the car,so I couldn't knock on every door up and down the street or I would have. This truck is always there,I've never seen it moved from the same spot but that's not to say it doesn't move when I'm not around. I didn't have any paper or anything to write an apology and leave my info for them to contact me,or I would've done that too. There was very little damage, looked like cosmetic paint damaged...sorta like the size of a prune ,if that. There's more damage to my car, than the truck. In other words...long scratch down my car but a prune size of missing paint on the truck.I have no idea how to go about this. I don't know who owns it or how to contact them. Its not like I can just go about it like it didn't happen...for 1 I feel awful for it,and 2 this is where I drop my daughter off to school and pick her up. I am more than happy to pay for the damage.Any suggestions on how to approach this would be much appreciated. Keep rude comments to yourself please. It was a mistake,it happened and I know its my fault. Thanks
