Side-swiped/hit & scraped something, now have red paint all over the side of my

car...help!? I have a silver 2003 Chevy Malibu. Today I was out and either got side swiped by a car while at the doctor or scraped something and didn't notice, because now I have red paint all across the back passenger side door of my car. I tried scrubbing it off with a brush, soap and water but it wouldn't work. Is there anything I can do to get it off besides taking it to get a paint job??
 
I'd take it to a car detailer. They can use very fine sandpaper to remove the red paint, and then polish it back up. There could be permanent damage (scratches) so just be prepared for that.
