Side effects of using aloe vera jel

My faces begun to have pimples then i began applying aloe vera jel for one week and my face looked like it was burnt. I then stopped.
Why did that happen yet i hear aloe vera jel is very good. During that time i was not applying anything else expect the jel.
Before that i was only applying Vaseline mosturizer.
What Could have caused this problem?
 
it all depenRAB on the brand of aloe vera gel you used. what brand did you use?
Not all aloe vera gel are actually the real deal. SOme of them have a whole bunch of chemical and not enough of the actual aloe vera. I used aloe vera gel (the brand from "aloe life") and it made my pimples disappear over time. no irritation whatsoever.
 
The aloe plant(leaf) itself is better to use because it's straight aloe without any thing added.
