Side effect of Vyvanse: teeth clicking/chomping?

My 16 year old daughter started on Vyvanse 30 mg. Within a day or 2, started kind of clicking her teeth together. It became much worse when the dose increased to 45 mg. After 3 wks, MD said stop med and wait until clicking stops for 7 days, then start new med (Concerta). It has now been 10 days off the med and the clicking stopped for one day (Sunday), but started back the next day at school and hasn't stopped again. Does anyone have any experience with this kind of thing. How long should it take to stop? Is there anything we can do to help it stop? Could it be permanent?

Help!!!

Why was your daughter prescribe Vyvanse? When she experienced these symptoms of clicking why did the doctor increase the dosage?
I am really not familiar with this type of medication and it is good that your daughter is not longer on the medication. You may want to have a indept conversation with this doctor on when you should expect this clicking to stop and what are the side effects this new medication (Concerta). Quite a few of these medications are not tested on children and teens, so you need to be really careful. You also need to make sure that both of these medications are FDA approved for the treatment of your daughters condition because some are not.
Let me know how your daughter is feeling.
