Has anyone seen this? I'm British, obviously, and I had no idea the American health system was that bad. It's certainly stopped me from wanting to live there when I graduate!
His point. Exactly. Mmore will do what it takes to get his point across. (btw I am very liberal and far from conservative, but even I realize he stretches things to make his point)
Still I dont know anybody who doens't have health benefits. When I lived in California and here in Hawaii where it's mandatory for companies to offer health benefits. Maybe I'm running around with the wrong crowd??? Not saying there are not those with health benefit problems, I just personally do not know of any.
Don't believe everything you read or watch. There was a story making the newspapers recently saying that the dental services in the UK were so backlogged and with such a shortage of dentists that the British had resorted to pulling out their own teeth.
would you like us to believe that it has come to that there?
Well he's hardly going to make someone else's point, is he? And what a tedious documentary it would be if he didn't stretch it a little.
He's trying to improve the healthcare system, so if it does some good, what's the problem? It's not like he's trying to push some controversial agenda. And not everyone works for companies with health benefits. Not everyone's in your boat.
I too though he painted a very rosy picture of the NHS and other state funded systems.
I watched an interview MIcheal Moore gave on CNN http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=hJL1ax4KdoY and he says it's not his job to provide a balanced view but provide the alternative view.
The US media has portrayed 'Socialist Healthcare' as something akin to a Romanian orphanage from 1991
