Sick people, old people and students go fuck yourselves.

have as big of a "fuck everyone else" mentality as you want, but there's no other solution when you have the wealth as disproportional as we do. do you know how high taxes are around the world? the wealthy are getting a bargain here.

I don't think anyone in this thread is supporting people who use welfare as a lifestyle choice.

But the people in the middle who work hard, but get ripped off on everything, and it's not always a simple case of working harder.

When you hear about people who get an illness, and end up losing their jobs, their home, their savings.. that isn't right and it isn't a place we should want to live in. You've turned an honest, hard-working person into a poor person who probably now WILL rely on welfare. I'm not saying you should be irresponsible or self-entitled, but having a better average living standard for middle class people works out better for everyone.

What the hell are you babbling about?
First, the rich do pay more, even if they pay the same percent of (purchase price / income / whatever). Second, I don't expect the military to defend my Lexus. If my Lexus gets blown up by a terr'rist, the US Government isn't going to give me a new one. That's what car insurance is for. The government exists to protect one set of things: my life, my liberty, and my freedom to pursue happiness. That's it! They can't ensure I'll never get sick. They can't make sure I won't fall in a hole. They can't guarantee my happiness.

mexicans, because all american kiRAB go to college so they can get a job of their choice handed to them when they graduate. if they dont get jobs, they arm our restaurants.

Because the penalty for them isn't as severe as it is for the ones below them, and not all of the lower middle class is slacking. In fact, there are many hard working people in that bracket that are stuck in that rut with no way out. If you bust your ass day in and day out, why shouldn't you be given a break?

BUT THEY DON'T PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE.

All this "rich people benefit more because they have more stuff" is nullified by two facts: they pay FAR MORE taxes than the poor individual, who pays little or no net tax and often receives from the IRS, and who also benefits from what the government provides.

Most of the tax revenue comes from where most of the money is, shocking!

The people who benefit the most pay the most, shocking!

most huge companies have a LOT of cushioning before theyd actually have to do that. companies like GE who pay 0 taxes.. theyd just have to stop hoarding quite so much money and lining pocket quite as much but it wouldn't necessarily drive them to increase product prices, although im sure they'd do it anyways and have everyone believe that

I'm not really understanding how in the hell you think what you said nullifies the fact that rich benefit more from the government services?

I mean, you do realize if you go look at what I've posted, I haven't actually advocated anything, right? Like you wont see me saying "OMG more taxes!" or whatever.
