Started in early may. Had a ton of stress at the time. I have experianced some anxiety in the past but always once the stressor is gone i feel better. No stressors for over a month to go with these symptoms. Vomited every morning for the first week and now only once or twice every week. Too much food at once makes it worse.

Symptoms:
Nausea everyday(Some more than others mostly in morning)
Vomiting some mornings.(Tons of yellow stuff yesterday, Nothing but water today)
Occasional dizziness
Pressure/ Slight pain in middle of torsos right below rib cage.
Stool has been normal/slightly soft but ok. 1 to twice a day.
Slight sore throat
Dont really burp or belch or feel food actually coming up. No terrible burning or anything like that.

Test:Every blood test came back fine and I am neg for H.pilori?

Treatment:They put me on Kapidex((Dexilant) 13 days ago and that has seemed to help but I still get some nausea in morning and if I eat too much.

Any input? I am so tired of this nausea coming and going every day, especially in the mornings when it wakes me up.

Ask any questions you want to know. Thanks.

Stress is hard on the body and its effects cummulative. Even when the stressor is removed, the body continues to react to the stressor for a while. That is sort of the mechanism of post traumatic stress disorder. I am not suggesting you suffer from PTSD, but stress takes its toll and its effects may last for a while.

Aside from taking your medication, try to listen to your body and modify your behaviors accordingly. For example, you mentioned that you will experience nausea if you "eat too much" in the morning. If so, try to eat less in the morning. Also try to identify triggers that cause symptoms. I used to think everything I ate caused heartburn, but that is not the case. I now know most of my triggers and can avoid them or eat them with the understanding that I will probably have to take some medication or pay the piper a few hours later.

I suck on DGL tablets several times per day. They help with the heartburn and also coat and soothe the esophagus. I used to experience nausea and that has ceased since I have been using the DGL and cut out coffee, alcohol and carbonated drinks. Lots of carbs also give me heartburn and GI symptoms. I eat less bread, pasta, etc.

Hopefully, you will slowly regain your balance. If so, ask your doctor to re-evaluate the use of a PPI and how long you should stay on one. These medications are not intended for long term use, no matter what doctors tell you.

Best wishes to you and hope you continue on your road to feeling better.

I was wondering if a mod could move this to digestive disorders? I didnt see that forum before making this post. Might result in more input. Thanks so far.

Looking at your symptoms, it sounRAB like common stuff for a peptic ulcer minus the regular stools. The sore throat can be irritation from vomiting. But peptic ulcers are developed mostly from having the H. Plylori bacteria, which you said came out negative.

I would recommend seeing a gastroenterologist to have and endoscopy done, if you haven't already.

I would also check for gallstones.

Do you take any other medications besides Kapidex?
Does any particular food trigger your symptoms?

Let us know how you are coming with this.

Just Kapidex. Well most fooRAB are okay but I have stayed away from dairy because i feel sick that night if i have some ice cream or whatever. I was talking to someone the other day and they said the blood test for Hpylori is only 50% effective in detection. Is this true? Would this or ulcers cause occasional dizziness? I no longer have a sore throat, i haven't thrown up since my first post and I don't notice the discomfort in my abdomen as much. So some improvement but still a little nausea every day and occasional dizziness.

No I am not. It isn't immediate after the dairy either but some of those nights I wouldn't feel too great which isn't unusual. Any way I just avoid it for now until I get this squared away and it really hasn't helped at all in regarRAB to my total situation.

Duck50,

These are some of the tests and procedures used to determine whether you have an H. pylori infection:

  • Blood test. Analysis of a blood sample may reveal signs of an H. pylori infection in your body. A blood sample is usually collected by pricking your finger.
  • Breath test. During a breath test, you drink a solution that contains radioactive carbon molecules. If you have an H. pylori infection, the radioactive carbon is released when the solution is broken down in your stomach. Your body absorbs the radioactive carbon and expels it when you exhale. You exhale into a bag and your doctor uses a special device to detect the radioactive carbon.
  • Stool test. A laboratory test called a stool antigen test looks for foreign proteins (antigens) associated with H. pylori infection in your stool.
  • Using a flexible scope to see inside your stomach. During an endoscopy exam, your doctor threaRAB a long flexible tube equipped with a tiny camera (endoscope) down your throat and esophagus and into your stomach and duodenum. Using this instrument, your doctor can view any irregularities in your upper digestive tract and remove tissue samples (biopsy). These samples are analyzed for H. pylori infection.

have you had any of these performed?

Like I mentioned earlier I had a blood test for it and it was negative. It was not a finger stick but a blood draw. In your own text it says May reaveal... The doctor I spoke with (not mine) mentioned that the blood test is only 50% effective at detecting the hpylori. That's what I want to know if its true because they might as well flipped a damn coin. I live in a rural setting and these doctors are just about useless.
