I just recently purchased my female betta fish, and it was doing fine. However, now all it does it lay near the bottom of its bowl, near the plants. It seems really inactive, and it won't eat. It spits it out, but it attempts to chase after it. I've tried adding aquarium salt, and this one thing that makes the water blue & helps kill bacteria. What's wrong with it? ):

Bettas often are inactive. If your concerned about its health have the water checked. Alot of pet stores like petco will do it for free and have papers telling you the importance of each test.
Also check the temperature. Its usually the water that kills fishes not the food.

Also don't change too much water at once. Completely new water is also dangerous to a fish.(new tank syndrome)
Usually 20-30percent water change is recommended.
If the water has white clouds in it that is a common warning sign of bad water.
