I have tried Everything! My beta hasn't eaten in 10 days and isn't swimming around much. I have tried feeding her brine shrimp, flakes, and pellets, and she just swims past it. I even tried moving her into a bigger tank and putting a heater in it, since it's pretty cold where I live. She doesn't have any visible parasites, discolorations, or gill disorders. In the summer she had a huge appetite, so this is very unlike her. Can anyone suggest something I haven't already done? And please, no comments about flushing her down the toilet.

How big was the tank that you had her in before you moved her to the bigger tank, and how large is the bigger tank?

You should've had a heater in your other tank anyways, because Betta's are tropical fish, and they need the heat.

It is good that you are feeding her the shrimp, flakes, and pellets, but it is possible that she is eating during the night, or during the day when you are not staring into her tank.

Make sure the water you have her in now is filtered and cycled, as it is already heated. Let her settle into the new tank, and she will slowly open up again. Moving fish to different tanks hurts them, and it also stresses them out because you are introducing them to new water conditions and so forth.

To have her strive in the new tank, make sure it is 4 gallons or more, because this is the minimum amount of space that you should be giving a Betta fish. If your other, smaller tank was a bowl, then it's obvious she wasn't eating, because you were cramping.

Without anymore information, I'm afraid this is all I can tell you. Good luck!

When you switched tanks did you aclimate her? Is the new tank cycled? How fast did you raise the temperature with the heater? With the answers to these questions we can help you more.
