I have been plagued by SI joint dysfunction and Piriformis Syndrome. Yesterday I went in for a Piriformis muscle injection and when I told my PM doctor that I wanted to show him the area of my WORST pain, he burrowed his finger into the trigger point of my Gluteus Maximus muscle (so he told me). So, he put the injection there instead. Has anyone every heard of such a thing? And I am so sore tonight. I am on ice as I type this. Because I am a type I diabetic he only used a tad of cortisone in the injection (20 mg)and instead used Toredol, and I personally think they forgot to put the cortisone in the syringe because I am so sore. I am thinking of some PT to deal with this issue perhaps. It is apparently a pain syndrome like Piriformis syndrome. Any worRAB of advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
