Depends on the position of the container.
The Acuba is a good evergreen which can be pruned to maintain the size you want, but it needs to be in more shade than sun. Nice deep green glossy leaves with yellow mottling. They are sexual plants, so you will need both a male and female plant to get the bright red berries in the spring and summer on the female plant. Lack of mottling indicates not enough sun, pale and yellow leaves, too much sun.
