I bought a pair of jeans today, and the hips fit great, but the rest of it is kinda loose. They have a straight cut to them and they're 100% cotton. I'm thinking about shrinking the jeans, but I'm worried that the hips would be too tight afterwards. Would it work if I just dipped the thigh area and down with water, and leave the top dry, then throw them in the dryer?
I also heard about a method where you sit in hot water while wearing the jeans, and then after a while you take them off and lay them down to dry. Apparently this lets the denim fit to your body shape perfectly. Can anyone tell me if this would work or not?
Any other ways to shrink the necessary areas only would be great.
Thanks!
