I love Shrek, one of my favourite non Pixar CGI films :D
The DONKEY is the best character :) And the film works so well as both a fairytale parody and a charming story in it's own right. True beauty does come from within and we all want to find true love :cry:

The R1 2 disc SE looked very good on my LCD TV and I could make out more textures than i could before.
 
I love Shrek too :) Donkey is probably my favourite character too. I also like gingey :)

I love the hallelujah wedding sequence and the karaoke bit at the end.
 
I love the first shrek. Would gladly miss Shrek 2. Shrek 3 was an improvement and i fail to see why many people dislike it. Oh well

I'm glad it enRAB after the 4th one. They were at one point gonna do 5 or 6. Is the puss in boots spin off ever gonna happen? That's been in development for years.
 
I think they should have just left Shrek as a one off. It lost a lot of it's magic in the second film, and i haven't seen the third. I think of Shrek as a one of gem, something funny and colourful for a rainy day and it's still funny but the second one.... I'm not so sure.
 
I love Shrek 2 so much, I just remember watching it over and over again with my (now) husband.

I never really liked Shrek 1 (don't shoot me!) I had just seen the same bits of it over and over again and by the time I saw the whole thing from start to finish I was a bit "meh" if I'd seen it once properly at the start I probably would love it.
 
I was asked the other day why Shrek 1 isn't available on Blu Ray in this country.
Shrek 2 is getting released to coincide with the new Shrek film. Does anyone know why the first one hasn't been released on Blut Ray in the UK?

Oh and the worst Shrek is the Christmas special Shrek the Halls. That's rubbish.
 
I used to love Shrek but then I had to do a a critical media analysis on it in school and since then I can't bear to watch it seeing as it had to be watched over and over and torn to pieces...
That said I still love Shrek 2 (possibly mainly because of a certain puss in boots and his big eyes ;)) and I actually do like Shrek 3 as it does have some LOL moments (I'll never be able to get over the half baby/half donkey moment in the baby nightmare sequence :D) but yeah I didn't like the plot as much as the other two though I will still go to see Shrek 4 :)
 
The nightmare sequence in Shrek 3 made me LOL :D :D But overall I was disappointed with it compared to the others.
Loved the donkey/dragon babies :D :)
