I find it strange that France gets to see it before England. It might be worth it to go and watch it there.

That is a bit odd that we get it so much later because a lot of big films often try to release in all the major countries simultaneously now in order to cut down on piracy.

Its seems like Shrek 3 has been getting average reviews in the US according to this on the BBC website:

"The third instalment of the successful Shrek movie series has received mixed reviews from critics in the US.
Film industry bible Variety said that while many characters were still enjoyable, the series was showing "signs of encroaching middle age".

The Hollywood Reporter said the film lacked the wit and bite of the original and the makers had "gone to the well one time too many".

Shrek - the third, more like third rate!

Just watched it tonight and I gotta say that this film is a huge let down considering the first 2 films.

I know the reviews of this film may seem harsh but they are all more or less correct... be prepared to laugh... be bored.... be really really bored... and finally have a little smile at the ending if you aint asleep by then

Definate money maker / definate let down! 4/10

Also heard on radio 4 last night that Eric Idle (who has a small part in the film) is furious that they've "stolen" the coconut/horses hooves joke from "Holy Grail" for the film.

You would think they'd have told him during the filiming - apprantly he first found out at the Premiere and was nit happy
