Shows that were cut way too short

Me thinks it should've been on FOX instead, that way it would've lasted a bit longer.

And Histeria had 52 episodes from 1998-2000, which isn't bad at all, really.
 
I know, I know, this is what I bring up every time this topic comes up. The 2002 He-Man - The show only lasted 39 episodes. I wish that it could've gone for another 26 episodes or so. Hordak and She-Ra were rumored to have been scheduled to appear!
 
Man I can't believe I forgot about He Man, I was definitely looking forward to Hordak and the She Ra stuff.

Also another show that I should mention and although I was very critical of the show during it's run I think Wolverine and the X men should have continued for another 26 episodes as well. I thought they were finally making some progress on some of the problems I had with it just before they got canceled.
 
Oh yeah. I forgot about that show. I thought that Wolverine and the X Men should have another season or two as well. While it had its fair share of problems, I think that it was just starting to find its footing near the end of its run. The action was great and the story was fairly interesting. It would have been nice to see more of the series so that more characters could grow and develop as I believe that was one of the major problems with the series as a whole. Plus, it would have been interesting how they handled the problems from the next possible future.

I still wish that The Secret Saturdays got another season. While it did have a good sense of conclusion with its last episode and isn't exactly like shows with no ending, I think that they could have pulled off an interesting season with a new enemy for the Saturdays, Zak either have some effects for losing his powers or gaining new ones and seeing more character growth for the main cast. It was a fun show, so it would have been nice to see it continue a bit longer.

I also agree with those mentioning The Pirates of Dark Water. While I'm not sure if I watched all of the episodes during its run on Cartoon Network, I do remember liking the sense of adventure and danger within its story and it certainly would have been interesting to see how they could had concluded the story instead of the main characters setting off for adventure in the last episode.
 
I thought I wasn't the only one who thought about Cybersix being too good to last, was it bad ratings that killed it off or the fact there was a female lead? here's what I think for shows that were too good to last.

Swat Kats- What the heck was wrong with you Ted? You canned one of the best, if not an awesome show for the time of the 90's. Your such a hypocritical person you know that? You dont want violence on tv, so you instead can this without knowing that the original Tom and Jerry shorts had violence? Thats being hypocritical, I think I would have liked to see two more seasons of Swat Kats as well as an animated movie to conclude the series if it was still going on.

Sonic Satam- I would have enjoyed what was planned out for the 3rd season, it sounded really promising. ABC made a really poor choice in choosing Power Rangers over Sonic the hedgehog.

Sam and Max and Spicy City- These two are the ones I wished lasted longer. I'm a fan of the film noir stuff, I know Sam and Max were different but Spicy City manages to be good. The stuff that Sam and Max did were amazing, should have lasted longer. Spicy City as well, this happened to be a take for film noir for animation that wasn't joked around and done for perfection. A friend of mine thinks Spicy city was inspired by Frank Miller's Sin City, a bonus for that goes that one of the characters from an episode resembles a character from Sin City. I know that a second season of Spicy City was planned, but HBO and Bakshi had a fallout that ended up canning the whole thing.
 
Dilbert: The TV Series

I like this show; it was funny, charming, had a great voice cast (Jerry Seinfeld even had a guest role, which was awesome, to say the least), stayed true to the original comics, and never really started to decline in quality at any point during its 30-episode run. I still believe that if it weren't airing on a second-tier backwater network like UPN, it would have lasted longer.
 
Swat Kats, Spectacular Spiderman, and MegasXLR were all awesome shows that got canned for idiotic reasons, you'll never find such stellar shows like that anymore.:sad:
 
While I like both ninja turtles cartoon series, I don't think they could have lasted 500 episodes each. The first ninja turtles series had 10 seasons and 194 episodes, while the 2003 series had 7 seasons, 156 episodes, and a TV movie. In my opinion, I think that both series ended at the right time, and had good conclusions.

Also, I don't think that most series can last up to 500 episodes, unless you want it to turn extremely stale.

As for series that I think were cut short...

Ruby-Spears Superman - This show only had one season of 13 episodes, when it aired on CBS, in 1988. I liked the episodes this series had, and I think that it should have lasted for another 2-3 seasons.

Megas XLR - This show only had 26 episodes. I think this show definitely had potential to last longer, and should have gotten another season or two.

Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! - This show ended on a cliffhanger. They should have given this show one more season, like the creator had planned, to wrap things up.

The Spectacular Spider-Man and Wolverine & the X-Men - Both shows had 26 episodes, and ended on cliffhangers. Both series should have gotten another season or two.
 
The top shows I would have picked

1.Freakazoid- The show was going to be moved to Primetime, but was instead canceled. I would have loved to see what new plots and characters they would have come up with, the show had soo much potential.

2. I wish Ed Edd'n Eddy lasted longer, for me, the show never got old, and could have lasted much longer. At least it ended on a high note

3. If Animaniacs did not get a new producer after the second season, and they did not go slack on the animation, and writing, I could have seen this show lasting alot longer. Histeria! is proof they could have continued with quality episodes.
 
I was looking up some info for 'Little Muppet Monsters' which used to be a follow up to 'Muppet Babies,' but that lasted only three episodes. It seems like the Henson company felt that the project was rushed and Henson didn't seem to like it anyway. Still, I've seen the three episodes that have aired on You Tube and I felt like they could have given it more of a chance.
