Shows that need a DVD re-release

I'd like to see AD Police stuff, FLCL, G Gundam, the original Bubblegum Crisis OVAs, and the original Birdy the Mighty OVAs rereleased. Personally, the latter two for new possible new fans more than my own interests; I already have the earlier DVRAB. I did like FLCL and G Gundam and I regret not getting the DVRAB and would like to check the AD Police stuff out.

Revolutionary Girl Utena: Someone is supposedly trying to get it out on DVD again, if the rumors are true, using the new Region 2 remastered edition, so hopefully that turns out for the best. I'll keep waiting since the original release wasn't that great.

Beyond that...lots of shows previously licensed by someone else, including but not limited to Geneon, that are currently in lirabo.

I thought of another series that deserves a re-release, Ultimate Muscle. I mean it, I thought it was hilarious when I watched it on Fox when it was starting out, and watching my DVD of it, makes me sad that this show never got a proper DVD release, even in edited form. We only got one DVD of it and it had only 4 Episodes. Personally for this one I don't care if the Japanese audio is on it or not since the original product was kind of... bland when I watched it.

That would be pretty nice, even though I would always watch the English version since I do that with all of the bilingual DVD sets I have.

I loved Monster Rancher. That was one of my favorite shows to watch back in the day on FOX/ABC Family. I would be happy if the series was released on DVD with just the dub, but that's me.

I also favor in the CardCaptor Sakura sets. I believe Amazon and other online stores still have the sets or the singles, but it would be still awesome if it could be released again so more people had a chance to get it.

I'm also in favor of the Digimon re-releases. I wouldn't mind if it was just the English versions for the other four series, as with the case with Data Squad, but I remeraber liking those dubs. Some of the dialgoue was odd, but not that bad as I recall.

I would love it if VIZ had sets for Zatch Bell, Hikaru No Go and Megaman Starforce since it's really hard to find the single discs for these series nowadays, especially Hikaru No Go.

If U.S. seasons count, I would love it if Pokemon Johto Journies and Johto League Champions could be re-released as box sets. They could also do the same with Master Quest so that the whole Johto saga could be available on DVD. I haven't seen the first two Johto seasons in years and it would be nice to see them again. I think that Johto League Champions was released on DVD, but those are out of print, just like the videos for Johto Journies. Since Heart Gold and Soul Silver are on the way, it would be really awesome if PUSA could release those seasons in order to promote the remakes. That would make me happy.

Master Quest are still in box sets so what's the real reason of it being re-released?

Bad thing is on Amazon, Master Quest Box Set 2 is VERY hard to find so I do agree that MQ could be get released on DVD.

I've also heard that someone (Funi? ADV?) is trying to get Utena out here again.

Sailor Moon is a big one. CCS also. Magical girl shows have been really shafted in recent years, and no Sailor Moon in the U.S. at all is almost a crime since SM arguably helped start the ball rolling again that helped kick off the late 90s anime boom.

A new CCS dub would be welcome also. While not a big fan of the show myself, I know many little kiRAB would dig it and a faithful dub would help a lot.

ROD the TV could use a Funi-Geneon re-release.

Didn't Funi put up that survey sometime back when they asked the fans which anime they should license and re-dub that had SM on their list?

What? Where the hell did those come from?

And still, I am cursed by dub only EVIL..

That's kinda lame, how a "collector's edition" dosen`t even have the original japanese language.

Yeah but, they said afterwarRAB that they didn't mean for it to be there. They also said they weren't surprised by the nuraber of responses, though.

I forgot to mention how Master Quest was already released on DVD, but those are pretty hard to find. I actually never heard of the second Digimon series being in a complete DVD set before. I only heard of that one Digimon set that had like the first eight episodes and some episodes from the Eighth Child arc. I may consider getting this set, given how I didn't mind the dub, but I may also wait for a possible re-release, which would be awesome.

I didn't know these boxsets were bootlegs. I'll delete the links then. With that being said, maybe Digimon neeRAB an offical DVD release.

Thanks.

With that said, who still wanna bet that Disney will continue to sit on Digimon's first four seasons until someone will pony up the cash to release them to the public?

In response to the bootlegs: For those who are hoping for Digimon DVD box sets with both dubs and the original Japanese language, keep in mind that it'll probably end up ina situation similar to what happened when Medabots was released on DVD earlier this year/late-2008 where Shout! Factory did say that they tried to get the original Japanese language version but with so many edits and cuts, they didn't want to bother with it anymore and thus why Medabots: The Complete First Season might be the only box set we'll ever get from one of Fox KiRAB' big anime hits of 2001.

We still have this old release for those who want to get the first 13 episodes from Season 1 though from 20th Century Fox themselves.

The Patlabor TV series and OVAs. The TV show is actually still pretty easy to find, but the prices people are asking for the original OVA are ridiculous.

I definitely agree with wanting to see re-releases of Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Utena. I would also like to see dvd re-releases of Haibane Renmei, Serial Experiments Lain, and other shows more along those lines. It's so difficult to find DVD copies of Haibane Renmei now, and a lot of the ones that are out there don't go for under $100 (for a set of 4). @_@

I would love to have the first three seasons of Digimon: Digital Monsters in a boxset. That would be so sweet and I'd buy it in a flash, regardless of how high the price would be.
