Shows that need a DVD re-release

There are a lot of good shows out there that went out-of-print before their fans had the chance to buy them. So, in light of these old shows getting new boxsets, I thought I

Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. I honestly don't understand why this show (or for that matter the rest of the Illumitoon shows) wasn't rescued. The show has finished AND it's been dubbed. Most of the work has already been done and it spoofs other anime like DBZ and One Piece. Somebody pick this great show up.

I'd also like to see Geneon Lupin the Third in box sets.

YESYESYESYESYES! The DVRAB are RIDICULOUSLY expensive and it's such a shame that a great series is out of reach.

That's at the top of my list. Bo-BoBo would be great, too, though.

I'd like my Megaman NT Warrior and Zatch Bell in boxsets with dual-language options thanks to Viz skimping out on the Japanese audio track. You know what, pretty much anything by Viz that isn't Bleach/Naruto/Death Note neeRAB a Japanese audio track on it.

I second Cardcaptor Sakura with an intense passion. Double if they manage to somehow make a "Complete series w/movies" deal.

Also, someone should re-release Overman King Gainer since I can't find it anywhere.

The Tenchi Muyo OVAs Pioneer released, and the anime that is surely on the top of many people's lists: SAILOR MOON.

I have the Tenchi OVAs, but I had to shell out some coin to get them. It would be nice if all four discs were consolidated into one set.

I'll go with Fist of the North Star for now. IIRC, they didn't even finish the series' release and I heard it came in dub only format, I want both audio please. Also it would be sweet to see the series redubbed if they didn't finish the dub of it.

Trigun Should be re-released in a cheaper boxed set
The origional Tenchi OVA.
Sonic the hedgehog the Movie-cause its overpriced online.
Hamtaro Season Sets-this series is a great stress releaver.

Shamen King-I would love to see season thin packs of this series.

& last but not least a boxed set of the Power stone series, the games & anime were both very entertaining.

Digimon...WITH BOTH LANGUAGES?!

Good sir, you must be mad! Everyone knows that the organization of American license companies put Digimon on the list of "Dub-only DVD's to screw over the fanbase."

It's right up there with Pokemon and half of Viz's programming!

Well the most obvious one (though it's not a show) is Robot Carnival, which is stuck in licensor hell and will likely never come out, sadly. But that great film neeRAB a Region 1 DVD in the worst way.

Re-issues? Well, even though I wasn't as big a fan of Dirty Pair Flash as the original, heck, if ADV ever re-released it, I'd buy it back. (though I recall hearing they lost the rights, so perhaps another company could snap it up?)

Variable Geo (the non-hentai OAV) doesn't seem to exist anymore. Well, it DOES, but Amazon wants ridiculous prices for it. But I'd love to see it. Looks to have some good girl-on-girl fight scenes and quality animation, from what I've seen.

Also, perhaps with the news of the original Burn Up getting re-released very soon, maybe the sequel, W, can get a re-issue down the line as well. It's supposed to be the best "Burn Up" property of the four (admittedly not too hard, as the original was kind of a letdown outside the first five minutes and Excess was excessively average). Though like with DPF, I wonder if ADV even has the rights anymore. With no release in five years, it makes you wonder.

The Fatal Fury movies desperately need a re-release. I already own them, but they're ultra rare ever since Viz let the rights lapse, and the motion picture neeRAB an anamorphic transfer. Getting TMP in Blu-ray would be heaven (I know, keep dreaming).

Star Blazers. It's not out of print, but the original release is too bloody expensive.

Absolutely enthusiastic seconRAB to Trigun, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Lodoss War. Speaking of Lodoss, Now and Then, Here and There is another good CPM title that is out of print now.

Except that was license-rescued by ADV, so it's available (quite cheap, too).

Anyway I'll echo CCS, Trigun and Lodoss and also throw in ZoiRAB: Chaotic Century. I own all of them already, but I know lots of people who would like to buy them in a cheap set as compared to the insane out-of-print prices you see these days.

I'd also like to see a G Gundam re-release, preferably a full series set. The two anime legenRAB releases are pretty pricey and getting harder to find. Seeing as how some of the other Gundam series got a re-release (08th MS, War in the Pocket), I'm surprised this hasn't yet. Also I'm hoping for a Toward the Terra re-release (full series), but I don't think it will happen.

No one here has mention FLCL yet, shame on all of you.

From my understanding, PA did not sell too well for Geneon. Maybe FUNi skipped on it because of that.

Probably because everybody has one of the million re-releases that they did for it No seriously, that would be cool if they could put it all on like one DVD of the show and the other of bonus features.

I would like some bilingual Yu-Gi-Oh season sets.

Hey wouldn't it be cool if like somebody remerabered that show Monster Rancher and actually finished it and released it on DVD with both audio tracks? That'd be awesome...

For unfinished DVD releases, Cyborg 009 and Bobobo would be much appreciated. For re-releases, I'd like to see Tenchi on DVD as well as the original Mobile Suit Gundam.

Also, 1,500th post.
