Shows that looked better (or worse) in the intro

Inspector Gadget pops to mind. The show isn't too bad, but the opening makes it seem like alot more than "The adventures of a cyborg who has to be babysat by his niece and her dog!"

Thundercats is the best example I can think, but that's already been said.

Bionic Six also has a pretty cool opening, but the show's animation wasn't as good, but the gap between quality isn't as large as the other shows listed.
A lot of 80's cartoons (namely the ones animated in Japan) are like this. Even today's anime experience the same problem.

Also, this is a trope.

Indeed. Heck, any show that had Akom do both the opening and show itself tended to be this too (Transformers G1's third season opening *Plus the Five Faces of Darkness opening to an extent* looked so much better then the show proper).

What came to my mind is Samurai Jack. I really thought that show would do better. It was good at first then went downhill. I hope the same thing doesn't happen to Sym-bionic Titan. I like it so far.

I somewhat agree, sure the singing is bad, and the beat is mediocre but the phrase "CRY FOR THE MOON!!!" makes up for that in my opinion. :p

And at least we did get to see the Brood animated, if just for the intro (they were going to be in a season 2 episode, but the fox censors thought they were too "scary")

Sym-Bionic Titan looked really excellent in all of the previews and clips that I've seen of it leading up to its premier but when the show finally hit the airwaves I was very unimpressed and felt disappointed when I finally got the chance to see it. Another program that struck me the same way was the original Chaotic, the idea seemed cool and the show looked original but the program itself did nothing for me, thankfully the 2nd Chaotic series turned that all around and became a personal favorite for a short while.

Now I have to wonder: Are there any animated intros that looked the same as the show?

I suppose mostly recent things; Foster's Home, My Little Pony, Adventure Time (It was dynamic I suppose, but it pretty much LOOKED the same).

Many of the 90's funny cartoons and onward seemed to look the same. Johnny Bravo, Animaniacs, Angry Beavers, don't know how many intros try to fool us anymore.
