Shows That Have Eps Without Main Character/s Appearing.

For Zim, not only Game Slave 2, but also Gaz: Taster of Pork. Battle-Dib could also count since Zim and Gir don't appear in it.

The Pok?mon episode "Meowth Rules" had an entirely Team Rocket-related plot. Ash and the others appeared briefly but they don't do anything.

Just to be clear, isn't this topic supposed to be for episodes where the main character doesn't appear, rather than their sidekicks or supporting cast? Because while the title character's absence is fairly noteworthy, a member of the supporting cast not appearing isn't very uncommon.

As for actually contributing to the thread, the only one I can think of at the moment is Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends, heh... I remember lots of episodes where Thomas didn't appear, which I thought was pretty cool.

Rocko's Modern Life did one episode totally without the main character (The Magic Meatball episode with Ed Bighead), and another one that only featured Rocko for two seconds in a cameo (It's the one where Heffer and Ed Bighead are playing Golf). There might've been a third one.

I think you could also add "Babe Sitter" and "Mountain Mandark" to that list. They were the first 2 shorts when the show's opening had changed to Mandark's Laboratory. Dexter appeared in the final short to retitle it back with his name.

Sorry for the old thread bump, but..

There's some Arthur episodes that doesn't have Arthur at all (That I know of):

Prunella Sees The Light (2002)
The Law Of The Jungle Gym (2003, he doesn't talk)
World Girls (2006)
Baby Kate and The Imaginary Mystery (2007, Arthur says one word (Pal), and then he gone)
Strangers On A Train (2007)
Mind Your Manners (2007)

And...please tell me other episodes that doesn't have Arthur.

Hey Arnold! didn't always have Arnold in it at all.

Although The Simpsons (except Maggie) appears in every episode of the series, in the Tracey Ullman shorts, Bart is the only Simpson to appear in every short and still have a line.

And on the 1994 Aladdin series, Aladdin and Jasmine aren't in every episode, like Rain Of Terror and The Animal Kingdom (well, Jasmine didn't appear in TAK).
