Show Us Your Music Player

Thats my relatively simple foobay layout, and I dunno if it shows exactly what you are looking for Tore, but up the top left corner I have my album list which I can set up a nuraber of different ways. Currently its set at genre but you can also set it to year, folder structure, artist or album. Along the top you can see multiple tabs which I just keep open sometimes, like jazz, and you can drag your compilations in one of those if you feel I suppose, if you don't feel like giving it a specific folder.
 
Nice album you have on display in that pic. I just got done reviewing that in my journal, and came in here and saw this. The song you have highlighted is also one of, if not the best, on there. :thurab:
 
Since my last post, I actually went and made a dark version of my own theme with a few tweaks. Aside from a lack of scrollbar, it's as functional as my white theme. :)

I keep all my stuff in a very organized Windows Explorer folder. For some odd reason I like to organize things by album rather than artist. Personally I don't see the need for iTunes, Media Monkey or anything like that, but it's just a personal preference.
 
You guys... I love the extravagant music players.
It's like getting a phone that can cook you dinner, meanwhile your wife is out of a job.

i've been itching to try elplaylist for a while now, but it seems tough to script. i really like the idea of collapsible albums. just not sure if my column scripts will copy over...

i saw your progress in the Hydrogen Audio forums today. you're a brave man to mess with some of those more complex components like Panel Stack Splitter. looks like you switched to EL Playlists too. too much scripting for me!

Thanks! I think the way to go with ELPlaylist is just to get one already scripted and see if you can tweak that. That's basically what I did and although it is indeed a bit tricky, I am able to rewrite it to make it do what I want. :)
 
not really. foobar offers quite a lot more control over customization than media monkey does, and it's much easier to make your own configs.

it's also a lot more stable :D

storymilo, don't be shy if you have Q's about foobar, it can be tough getting started...
