Show Us Your Helmet.

Yeah, I have a Ducati Arai, these 2, and a Suomy Vandal Aces (that I won, but rarely wear). I wore the Arai the last 2 seasons because the original Bostrom was involved in an accident I was in, but I am still in love with it. So for Christmas my best friend surprised me with a new one!

Damn, my only two friends in existance think motorcyclist wear bicycle helmets

They would be like "$300-$600 for a helmet, fuck that!"

My friend works at a powersports dealer, so he gets things a little cheaper. But it was still WAY more than I was expecting to get. He and I kind of have this little obsession with Suomy...

The story for the old Suomy goes like this...
I'm basically obsessed with Ben Bostrom, so when I decided to buy a helmet (long before I had a bike) I was set on getting a B Boz replica. The owner of the Ducati dealer got a kick out of me being all crazy over Ben & Ducati that he got me the helmet for cost. Jackpot! I babied that thing, and got it signed by Ben at an AMA race in June of 07. In July of 07 I was going through an intersection when a student driver turned into me and totaled the bike, and I rolled down the street. All I was thinking was "NOT MY HELMET!!! NOOOO!!! PLEASE DONT RUIN THE AUTOGRAPH!!!" Well the helmet was scraped up, but the signature is ok, but I can't wear it anymore. I was SO bummed!!! I got the Arai when I got my 848 and wore that for the last 2 year. My friend knew how much I love that Bostrom Suomy and got me another one for Christmas :-D

And I thought I had a cool story behind my new helmet, which by the way fits sexy as shit. Vemar is definetly my new favorite brand.

By the way how, do Suomy's fit? i was think of buying the Max Biaggi Replica!
 
It came with a soft Ducati-red Ducati Arai Helmet bag and was considered a very limited edition helmet not just because of the rarity having made a small number of them but the interior of the helmet was a soft gray suede material, oh, and the price tag, $1200.00 if you could find it...



...and that little red coloration at the rear lower edge is an Italian green on the other side...

You gotta admit it goes nice with the White 1198...
