I Want my flash drive to show the folders as thumbnails bu default so that I can see certain things in the folders. I open the drive, change it to thumbnails, close the drive. When I go back in it's back to tiles again. I am working with computers that run Windows XP
If you know how to edit the default settings, even by changing the code, list that too. Keep in mind I'm not good with code so do it step by step as though I was reading from one of those for dummies books.

I'm not sure you can, I've been working with thumb/USB drives a lot in the past few years (allways on Windows) and it seems that XP "choose" a display mode based on the contents of the folder or drive your in.

For example: If theres a lot of folders it will go to "Details" mode, if theres pictures it will go to "Thumbnails" or "Filmstrip", and if theres music files it will go to "Tiles" on its own.

I haven't found a way to override this and set a definite default yet. Sorry.

I have, however, found that it helps to try and keep your stuff sorted into folders on your drive (I have a LOT of folders -_-)
