Shouldn't men be able to dodge parental responsibility to the same degree women can?

A woman can go out sleep around, get pregnant, and have the choice to not be a parent. A guy is forced to be responsible for a kid he may not want (child support).

So my question is, shouldn't a guy be able to not have to pay child support if he chooses not to be a parent? Shouldn't he be able to sleep around and not be held accountable for it if he chooses not to? Why are only women immune from responsibility?
 
A woman cannot dodge being responsible for her offspring. She cannot walk away from them. They would be taken from her and she would be forced to pay child support to the court.

If a woman can dodge responsibility (by the way of aborting it when she doesn't want to become a mother), the man should also have the dodge responsibility (by signing off papers when he didn't want to be a dad).

Simple.
 
Nobody should do that. Arguing that "women can be louts, so men should be able to as well" is lame. NOBODY should be irresponsible. Nobody should abort their babies. Nobody should abandon their kids and be deadbeats. Neither men nor women. What's wrong for one sex is also wrong for the other.

Why condemn women for it and then turn around and express the desire for men to be allowed to do the same thing? That's really crazy.
 
The basis of this double standard is a purely emotional one.

When a woman murders her unborn child because she can't be bothered to look after it or give it up for adoption it is easy for everyone else to ignore. We don't have to see it, those of us with the inclination can deny it happens or build up thick mental walls of cognitive dissonance and claim the unborn babies aren't actually human beings. In short, the unpleasantness isn't in everyone face.

If you allow men to laughingly shrug off their responsibility like women do, we have to see children live in abject poverty. It is much harder to ignore actual children suffering than it is to ignore a couple hundred thousand unborn babies being massacred each year.

It isn't logical or rational, it is just a lot easier to deny or ignore the evil consequences of abortion than it is to avoid seeing starving children out here in the world.
 
You're right. They should be. But women are favored in a lot of legal decisions, in fact, probably in most. But, the squeaky wheel gets the greese and women whine more than men do, so the government caters to their wants, as parents cater to a whiny child. And it only gets worse from here. This is why instinctively, men (if they're honest with themselves) want to keep women in their place. Because once you start letting women appear equal to you in all things, YOUR place becomes threatened and ultimately extinct, to the point where you are no longer needed in society period. A woman makes as much or more money than you so you are no longer needed to provide. A woman can find a lesbian partner who she can "relate" to much more than she can to you, so you are no longer desired. She can get pregnant by in-vitro or adopt a child so you are not needed to procreate. A woman can protect herself as well as you could protect her, so she no longer needs masculine protection. Fathers are no longer wanted or respected, so she doesn't want or need a father for her children.

So...Name one thing a woman needs a man for?? This is what society has come down to.
