I have more acne on my shoulders and upper back then on my face. I have all these cute tops but i wont wear them because of the redness on my shoulders. Have any of you tried anything for shoulders or back that actually works? I have scrubbed and scrubbed with different kinRAB of over the counter body washes, but it just gets worse. Any advice? Thanks:)

Do u live in a sunny area?

I find sunbathing (within sensible reason ofcourse) clears up my back acne. Ive just been away and my back which was horribly spotty b4 i went is almost clear and looks great, or even within reason a sun lamp, but go easy on them, they can be dangerous if used too much, and used a total block on any moles. :)

I recommend Proactiv. They make body wash and shampoos along with their other skin care products. My husband has a problem with acne on is scalp and used everything until I bought the proavtic shampoo. It worked like a charm. Just a thought.... :) :)

go out and buy some of those acne clearning paRAB the cheap kinRAB for liek 2 bucks they are harsh, I would never use them on my face but on my back i do all the time just to keep it clear :)

I'm not trying to be insulting...so don't get offended  Maybe change your bed sheets more often? That's helped some people I know...especially guys.

Anytime there is any kind of breakout, you should never, ever scrub. This will only cause the bacteria to spread and cause further breakout. If you can find something with Benzoyl Peroxide (Clinique's Acne Solutions Back treatment spray works like a charm). Remeraber that Benzoyl Peroxide can bleach your pillows and clothes, so be very careful with any products containing it. B.P. will kill the baterica in the acne, to prevent further breakout so it can heal. Salicylic Acid can also help dry out any active/open acne.I hope I have helped. Coming from someone who has struggled with Acne most of my life and have tried almost everything...I understand.

I had a lot of back (and butt) acne, but I have now started taking 2 showers a day. The evening shower really helped and I have seen a noticable reduction in back acne. I used to get at least one huge new pimple a week, and now I've gotten only 2 new ones since April.

I would also try the body shop's tea tree oil bar soap. Tea trea oil is anti-bacterial.

i get some acne on my shoulders and occasionally on my lower back area, and i found that as someone already suggested that taking 2 showers a day helps, and i found that moisturising(sp) also helped me, and now i dont get as much on my shoulders and back, but if your really unhappy about it you could go to ur doctors because they might be able to presricbe a lotion or cream or pill or something that could help clear it up :)
