Should we settle the debate between evolution and creation in a court of law?

Using evidence and an impartial jury? Of course this will never happen, but don't you think it would be a laugh?
Facts for evolution..... millions,
facts for creationism..... One book.
 
It already happened. Evolution should be taught in science in school, creationism does not belong into science. Kitzmiller versus Dover school district.
 
You mean like when they settled the debate between geocentrism and heliocentrism in a court of law?

I think Galileo would advise you that things don't always fall on the side of the people who make sense when you settle them in politics rather than science.

This 'debate' should be (and has been) settled in the scientific community. In some cases, scientists need to wait for politics and the sentiment of the general public to catch up, but in most cases, it matters little to scientists whether people 'believe' the things they've discovered or not.
