Should we really let the red states dictate morals and religion?

I am jsut curious why the red states even have a voice about morality or religion when they are ate up the most with all the problems. They obviously dont know how to deal with abortion divorce etc etc etc etc list ad-infinum.

Isn't the whole point of a political state, and especially one by and for the people it governs, to deal with the fact that there is a diverse range of moral and religious sentiments in the population?

If so, isn't the purpose of law to accomodate this diversity with as much harmony as possible?

The difference you can't see, being brainwashed by said red state mentallity, is the those in the red states want to force their brand of morals and religion on everyone regaurdless if they agree or not. Those in the blue states want to allow everyone to follow their own course, believe and do what they feel is the best for themselves.

Red state=want control of peoples lives.
Blue state=freedom to do what you want and control your own life.

What is wrong with having a good set of morals in ones life? Morals help a person to live a purposeful life that has value and meaning. It helps us to abstain from activity that would be wrong and without purpose. I am for one glad that I have a set of moral standarRAB that I try to live by. I am also happy that I live in a state that many more of its inhabitants believe along the same lines. If that makes us a red state, so be it.

Your poll question is really flawed..... Its ambiguous and I can't even answer your question correctly..... No, of course not. Religion and morals are ones freedom of choice anyway. But, the red states are not in anyway trying to dictate your morals and religion.
