Should we put all welfare recipients in labour camps?

Should we place all welfare recipients in labour camps in which they will get "free" food, a place to sleep, a job (to build self esteem and maybe give them a little work training) and health care?
What if we set up community televisions and computers with internet access to go along with day care centers and let them leave once in a while?
Wouldn't this be responsible use of government money in a recession?

Also, wouldn't it kind of make things uncomfortable for these people and maybe drive them to not want to be burdens on society?

They do have places like this all over...it really is jail and these people would have to be crazy to stay there.
And FTR, I am not a socialist or a liberal. I am just sick and tired of dealing with all of these welfare recipients and their bratty kids that have nothing better to do then go out and stir-up trouble. I realize that not all of them are bad but way too many of them are coming to my Nor Cal town and starting trouble--bringing their urban crime with them as Oakland and San Jose are becoming too dangerous for these low lives. I also do believe that these are the ones who get rich by suing others causing prices to go up in every which-way.

We are going to have welfare anyways, we may as well just separate the f-ups from the rest of us.

I’m assuming you to mean ALL “welfare recipients” including: farmers that get paid for not planting crops, all of the CEOs of the banks that were “bailed out” with taxpayer money as well as elected officials that enjoy a robust healthcare system at taxpayer expense right?

If that is the care, I’m all for it. If not, then no – what’s good for one “welfare recipient” should be good for them ALL.

voluntary if done at all, absolutly not federal, probably ought be done on a county level

reasonably well paid into a savings account to be disbursed when the person leaves the camp

persons on the public dole, do not get to vote
