Should we end Black History Month?

I know us black people have been through alot, but i think we will never get over slavery and segregation if we keep feeling sorry for ourselves once a year. I mean its great that blacks have done great things, but all races have and singling ourselves out just makes us seem like if we do something good its now great because we're black. I just want to be on the same scale as everyone else not the pity me im black or the praise me because im black scale. We do have a black president you know, i just think its time for it to end. I dont want my daughter growing up thinking she's only important in February.
yea i am black and i want kids not to learn black history all year long not to be seperated into the smallest month of the year. schools should teach history on a timeline not a raceline. and im as black as they come darlin.

are u serious lol anyone who sees black history month as a bad thing has problems... learning about something that is rarely taught is not hindering anyone!

they already have months celebrating those other cultures

why is djpierre getting thumbs up when those months already exist....

we all want our kids to learn black history all year round... but the reality is that is not going to happen in school u know it!, if they take away bhm the only black folk kids would know about would be MLK... and maybe Crispus Attucks... Now if you homeschool your child great no problem you can teach what you want your child to know
