Should we cut back on the military to put a man on Mars.?

Actually, it would help us understand our Cosmos. It makes a lot of sense.

And North Korea is all talk and no game. Even if we cut down on our military, we could still destroy their nation completely.
@Foxx. We are doing the International Space Station, that's why we aren't going to the moon anymore. Science is Science. We need to keep pushing Science as much as possible.

Waist of money just like how we landed on the MOON and still haven't done a thing up there. You would think they'd at least construct living facilities or some kinda research Pod up there but none whatsoever till this day.

Just to go to Mars will require a whole new more powerful Spacecraft to do such a mission and that would cost Bang Bucks!

We should spend on the military exactly what we need to. More is waste, and less is dangerous. It has nothing to do with Mars. Mars is a separate question.

The period from 1960 to the mid '70s was one of great advances. I'd like to get back to that. A concerted effort on Mars (not "we'll get there in 50 years") would do it.
