Fellow Conservatives.
JK Rowling has kindly donated £1 Million Pounds to Gordon Brown and His Socialist Army. To people in other countries or people who dont know who Gordon Brown is and even people who think JK is a "Cool" person. Mr Brown is a big nasty man who leads an evil army called "The Labour Party" and they are the government of Great Britain. Mr Brown thinks people losing their homes, living without food, electricity and warmth is good. Mr Brown and his friends laugh at the people who are suffering. They are not nice people.Ms Rowling agrees with what Brown is doing and has given him and his friends £1 Million pounds to help Mr Brown spread his evil and misery to the people for longer!
Should we, the tax payer, pay for JK's books, films etc.. and see our money be given to Gordon and friends?? I think not!

Somehow I feel you're in the minority. Except for the evangelicals. They'll join you. But they're as ridiculous as you are.

I agree, ya know Gordon Brown is destroying the country, remember when Ed Balls so politely said "So What" when Brown was announcing something that would leave thousands in trouble, Jaqui Smith denying any knife crime problem on GMTV. Labour are killing the country. Ok if JK Rowling supported the fur trade and gave her money and her name to an eviland brutal cause, would you still buy her books because her work is good, would it matter to you that she is endorsing evil and cruelty? If yes you are a bunch of sickos. I think Harry potter is shite anyway just like Labour. You are all communist cunts!

i partially agree, i don't like the fact our men are dying out there! and for what? a poxy war thats leading us to nothing! 3.2 billion pounds or something is being spent sending our army to die, and they talk about the credit crunch and how Britain is broke! it's a joke to me, we should spend OUR money on saving OUR country, Gordon brown is leading our country down the drain!

This is your personal opinion regarding the prime minister and your fury at JK. Debate and a voting system is called Democracy and educated comments are to be admired. In your case sadly lacking.

Oh dear. I so hoped to hear a reasoned arguement. Instead I fell asleep reading your boring post. BTW, you can do what you want, but I know if I enjoy something, I do it. Regardless of the author/creaters political views. Boycotts dont work

"Should we, the tax payer, pay for JK's books, films etc.. and see our money be given to Gordon and friends? What does our tax have anything to do with JK Rowling's money?"
She can do whatever she wants with her money and although personally I do not agree with the idea of giving money to political parties whatever or whoever they are, I have nothing against someone who intentionally or unintentionally decides to make a stand by doing it... That is called democracy isn't it? The same democracy that allows you to ask this question on YA and give yourself the obviously anti-LP answer.

I suspect that your disdain will send fail to send a chilly wind gusting through the corridors of power.

JK Rowling's publisher employs six people whose sole task it is to calculate her royalties, so I doubt very much she's worried about the potential loss of income- although I'm sure that the six ppl whose jobs depend on her selling books will appreciate your spirited stand.

The Labour Party is simply a political party, with an albeit confused manifesto. I could easily describe the Cons. as 'evil'- I have similar issues with some of their policies- but to be honest life is too short.

I find it easy to imagine you reading your comments in front of the mirror and pretending that you are William Hague addressing the convention as a member of the junior party. How exciting for you.

Franky, JK's politics are nobodies business but hers. If I chose to donate my royalties to the Puppy Euthanasia Party, I certainly don't care if some snotty little teenager wants to whinge in a public forum.

Incidentally, what is the Conservative Party's policy on education? One hopes that they want to improve the quality of written English among schoolchildren.

Boycott her if you want, I don't care. I'll continue to enjoy all her future books.
