Should we bail out GM, Ford & Chrysler? I say NO!!!! ?

They have been losing money for decades because they can't match the quality and reliability of Japanese cars. I only buy Japanese cars because all our American cars would break down even before 10,000 miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All our Japanese cars would go 100,000 without a sweat.

I think all the billions required to bail out the Big 3 wouldn't help because they will go bankrupt regardless due to no one buying their crap cars.

I believe they hire 2.5 million workers and if they go unemployed it would only be 1.6% of the work force so no great depression or anything.
 
Yes - with stipulations that they need to tweak their processes

The U.S. NEEDS a manufacturing presence/capability or we are all in BIG trouble

BTW - the Japanese don't have to contend with unions and health care/pensions for retirees that drive up the cost immensely to produce Big 3 cars. Also Big 3 reliability is now on par with many Japanese cars.

Well, WTH? We bailed out Wall Street, what's a couple more billion? Are we only in favor of white collar workers? Seems to me Wall Street actually hasn't put out a good product either these past few years.

I was not infavor of the bail out and I would not be infavor of this one too
 
If the US bails out the auto's, then somebody from the Fed should be appointed to manage them with total authority
Obama wants a socialist government, anyhow; and how close can we be getting to communism
 
I bet the CEOs and owners of the big three have enough in their personal bank accounts to bail themselves out.
