Should unprovable things not be permissable in court by police officers?

i'm not on one side or the other completely of this issue, but i was pulled over the other day and it got me thinking.

i was pulled over and was really nervous because whenever i get pulled over i do, and the officer said i looked like i was on meth, i said no and he said, well your eyes look really blown (which i could tell was a bold faced lie to have a reason to search my car if my name came back as having been arrested before (which it didnt)... i calmed down when he came back and did an eye test and he was pretty nice about the whole thing, and even though i could tell he was lying, it got me thinking, should cops be able to use the whole "your eyes look blown" or "it smells like this or that" as concrete reasons to search you.

i myself think the law is really outta it when it comes to this. see i am partially blind and if i were to be pulled over i toomay be considered impaired. i think this law law is WRONG. politics, only when i am convicted should i not be allowed
