I've noticed a few responses from some here have brought Baracks citizenship into question. Would they feel better if they changed Article 2 section 1.
Article 2 Section 1 of our constitution states:
No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.
If we remove the "or a citizen of the United States" phrase from the constitution then neither Barack or McCain could be elected.
McCain was born in Cuba but is a long standing US Citizen.
Barack born in Kenya but is a long standing US Citizen.
What would you do?
