We have had long road trips. We have almost locked up the # 2 seed overall and we have the # 1 seed in the West. We can beat Cha, Mil and the Clippers without Kobe. Maybe have him play against Houston but I see no harm in letting him rest until the game at home against Denver on the 9th. Plus if Kobe sits it will give Phil a chance to play the bench more and see who is going to make the playoff rotation...
Kobe played in the finals against Bos and then all Summer. He has had no time off in a long time. We dont want to burn him out, we need him fresh for the playoffs. Plus we should be careful with his ankle. Even if it was killing him Kobe wouldnt let us know. He has the passion and desire to play everynight, regardless of injuries to his hand, fingers or ankles.
