This idea has been quite trendy over the past few decades. A long while back, Clavin Coolidge said, "The business of America is business." Ronald Reagan was a strong proponent of running the government like a business. Needless to say, he was very business friendly. Wall Street loved the guy. Ross Perot was an even bigger proponent of running the government like it is a business. But this is only one way of running a government. There are many ways to run a government.
