Should TeenNick air anime?

I could have sworn I had seen this topic before, but a search turned nothing up.

I had thought it was a good idea when I saw it (probably was elsewhere), but thought it wasn't likely, but with Nicktoons acquiring 2 anime shows, it shows Viacom is willing to air anime.

There are a lot of anime fans that are teenagers, after all. They could air stuff that's too risque for Nicktoons to air, like Soul Eater.

Thoughts?

About everytime I watch TeenNick, I really don't seen any action shows. Mostly comedy and drama. So, if I have to choose, maybe Lucky Star. Its funny, cute and simple. Though, there will be some edits (bath scene) and maybe about everyone won't get the jokes (Either for the inside anime jokes or the japanese culture).

I can honestly see both seasons of Ah! My Goddess TV on there. There's nothing really wrong with it in terms of content and could easily blend in. Even though it's about a male college student and the three goddesses living with him and the source material comes from a seinen magazine, it's harmless in my opinion.

The only other anime that could fit in on TeenNick? Haruhi.

I highly doubt Lucky Star would do well on such a channel.

Fruits Basket on the other hand, would be an interesting experiment since the title would have more mainstream appeal to the target demo.

I don't know if the little kiddies would get anime.
Than again I was little when I started watching Sailormoon and Pokemon.
so maybe things like that and Wedding Peach. Could have a small block for anime stuff.

I'm all for anime airing in the United States wherever and whenever it can, it would just feel odd watching anime during TeenNick but I'd be all about it if they did air anime. The more and more anime that airs in the U.S the better the platform succeeRAB so I guess I would support anime no matter what channel or block aired it unless the series they were running was something completely horrible.

Considering what already airs during teen nick I think throwing an anime in there (no matter what kind it is) would seem very, very odd and out of place.
