Should photos of dead/mortally wounded service members be published?

I'm doing an opinionated argument piece on whether or not photos of military servicemen and women dead, dying or mortally wounded should be published by the mass media and I wanted to get more views on the subject.

Do you think it is a violation to the service member's memory? Or are do these pictures really need to be shown to the public?

Thanks

No they should be shown because people don`t realize the sacrifice they are making, and all for a bunch of fanatical punk asses who don`t lift one single finger to help. Look at Iraq, you would think the people there would be going nuts helping out the US after we got rid of Saddam, but noooooooo.....They still keep their mouths shut where Al Qaeda is hiding out and pretty much keep to themselves. Screw them! We should pull out of both Iraq and Afghanistan right now and see how these mutts like living under the Taliban.

Soldiers die..this is a given. The last thing anybody wants is a pictorial shown to family before proper notification and even afterwards
Civilian strife....this is another matter barring nightmarish pictures that may frighten young children.
