Should people be mega-rich?

Wealth is nrabroad
excessive. Corruption is. That's like blaming guns for the existence of crime. Like a gun, wealth is a tool that can be used by a good person for good, or by an evil person for evil.
 
if you had robbed Steve Jobs for his being "mega-rich" then he probably couldn't have financially supported Pixar when they were still in their beginning stages, and costed him several millions of dollars. didn't you like Wall-E, you heartless bastard?

Its more reasonable to let people keep what they earn rather than to set some random limit on it.
 
I think the goal should be for everyone to be mega-rich so that nobody is richer than anyone else but were all rich.

think there should be a cap on anyone's wealth. I am playing devils advocate because it is an interesting question and one in which the opposing side has real tangible benefits.
 
He answered your question pretty directly...I don't know what more thought you want him to put into it. It seems that you are overthinking the situation. You're introducing thought into "well what if they are". His answer was simple, direct, and broadly reaching. No additional thought required.
 
I don't know any mega-rich but from what I've read, the goal is the acquisition of wealth more than the money itself. They have far more than they will ever use but that's beside the point, it's like a Johnson's on a massive scale. Same goes when they start competing with donations.

Regardless, are you saying bribing public officials is ok as long as it takes a significant chunk of your wealth?
