I have a 2004 Grand Prix GTP Supercharged with 58000 miles. I owe 7,740 still on the car but was told today I need to have the lower intake valve replaced which would be 1100, the supercharger needs replaced which would be about 1,000. Some small maintenance -2 tires 250 and back brakes for 140. Should I put the money into this car or trade this car in see what I can get for it and buy a new car. Right now it is supposed to be paid off in Sept of 2010
According to the Kelly Blue Book I would break about even...not counting the technical issues it has now.

If it was me i would fix the car , your looking at about 2500. bucks to fix it , then your back on the road.If you trade it in there not going to pay it off , then your going to have that added on to the new car ,making that car that much higher It's just not worth it ,fix it and be done with it.

find a kelly blue book (a car pricing guide) and see what the price of it on good condition is, as if it is not a good price then fixing it would not be worth it
