Should paedophiles be castrated? Why do they only get about 3yrs in jail?

Yeah, people get sent down for 100yrs for financial crime. There's no justice...
P.s. the 100yr sentence was that Maddof in USA. Even here in the Uk you see 25 yrs sentences for finance.
Look. I'm really mad about this... Why isn't any polititian sorting out some new laws. perhaps we could get some sort of petition going on here.

Never mind about whether they can be rehabilitated or not. They need punishment, and deterrent.
 
Yes they should, all of them. There's one snag though, a paedopile's problem is as much mental as it is physical. You castrate them and you remove the physical aspect of the problem, but the mental one, which could cause a paedophile to offend again, remains. The only solution seems to be to lock them in jail and throw away the key. Good riddance.
 
even if we castrated them they still will have their fingers...im sure they would still find some sick way to be with children.

yeah it is shameful that this country only gives a few years to paedophiles...i think they should be sent to a prison with no priviledges at all. kept in a small tiny room in the dark for years and years....
 
They should release me and a few of my buddies from the zoos once a week and put is in a room with em. No mercy.
 
ABSOLUTELY!!!.....without balls u would have no sexual desires

so if their sexual desires involve kids then that is HEINOUS!!! & the only real safeguard kids have from them would be if they were CASTRATED!!!!.....
 
thats a good question, society seems to think they can be rehabilitated, im not so sure, there has been overwhelming evidence
that they repeat offend when they get out, and they can't seem to control themselves.

some of them are chemically castrated, their sex drives are lowered, depending on the threat. i say we shoot them, shoot a first time offender and i gaurantee you we wouldnt have this huge problem.

i don't understand why pedophiles aren't seen as just a big of a threat as terrorists, they are.
 
Unfortunately, many people do not consider this a serious crime but I do. Pedophiles need to be isolated from society, even have an isolated jail cell, but that's my opinion.
