Should overweight women be required by law to inform people of their pregnancy?

As some of you know, I own a private mental health practice in Minnesota. As women generally work for around 77% that of what men work for I have two female receptionists working for me. Problem is, one of them has an obesity problem. Ordinarily this would not be a problem, but this morning she went into labor in my reception area. She had been pregnant for the last nine months and it was unnoticeable because of her obesity.

Because I am medically trained I performed the delivery in the parking lot. Not only did she save on hospital bills but she was able to complete her day's work having no need to leave the office. There were many people gathered around and they all cheered as I delivered the baby. The 32yr old beautician who works nearby hugged me afterwards and slipped her number into my pocket.

My question is this. I was unable to organize a replacement for her as I had no idea she was pregnant. How can I get out of giving her maternity leave?
