Should one pay for the Marine's breakfast at the Big Boy Restaurant?

For a joke yelled "Ah Tenn Shun!!! and the Marine jumped up and saluted but his food dropped on the floor. Who pays?

I don't think that the Marine should have to pay for his food, but I like to extend small tokens of gratitude like that to every serviceman that I'm around. He risked his life for us - surely we can pay for his breakfast.
