There's a party at someone's house for the seniors (and their families) of my high school's marching band and in the e-mail, it said to "feel free to bring food or dessert." I don't want to bring anything my manners-obsessed Puritanical mother is telling me I have to bring cookies or something (I am a guy). I feel like she's wrong and making a big deal out of something that does really matter. So, Yahoo! Answers, is it really that big of a deal whether or not I bring food?
