Should my Google Profile Image appear automatically on all Google Services for

which I register? The profile image upload dialog says I can upload a JPG, GIF or PNG image, but my PNG has been converted to JPG.
It says also that the picture will be used across all Google products and services which display my public photo.
My image doesn't appear on Blogger, Picasaweb, or any of the Help Forums.
Is the Profile Image really used anywhere else?
