and i plan to get more dogs but i wonder if they should be outdoor dogs ?

It depends on what role you want your dog to play in your family. If you want the dog to be a part of the family you should let it indoors. This does not mean it should stay indoors at all times. If you live in a safe rural area it is okay to let the dog outside on its own. However, in order for it to bond with you and any family it is important that it is also allowed to be involved in the family's indoor life.

Well you should get an invisible fence or something so he can run around freely and keep him inside after your done playing and when its time for him to sleep.

No! No dogs should be forced to live outside. It's emotionally damaging.

no dog should be a full time outdoor dog, but you could let her outside in a fenced in yard to play(under supervision) for a few hours a day that would be very healthy for her.

if you leave your german shepherd outside he wil become destructive and possible run away, that type of dog loves to be with its human and hates to be left alone all the time, indoor would be best, plus he is closer to you an will proabably be better trained that way.
