I currently am on a 2 year contract with sprint and have the htc hero. My android version is the 2.1 and sprint says they wont be releasing any new system for the hero. I heard they have a froyo system I can upgrade too, but I heard it voids warranty and I wont be able to use any of the sprint applications. I just want to know if its worth it, and the pros and cons of the froyo software. Is it worth it?
I wanna keep my hero until I buy another phone or until im able to upgrade which will be awhile and im not sure if there will be anymore release for the sprint htc hero. I considered the gingerbread but there are some downfalls to that.
