The lost explorer
I was lost in a forest and was worried as I thought I would die out here.
Out of nowhere I saw a bright light that looked like a human and I felt excited for the first time in four days. I ran toward it and the light disappeared, I felt disappointment, then I noticed he had thrown a piece of paper at me. I picked it up and read it, my excitement returned.
It said: “jump four times and the ground will collapse, you’ll be safe, the animals will bring food and you will be near a fresh-water stream that has water that is safe to drink, and the animals of the woods will bring you wood, and you have flint in your pocket.”
I thought to myself “this sounds familiar, I have no other options, may as well try it.”
So I jumped four times, the ground collapsed and I felt strange, but happy. I built a little hut and a fire, out of branches that the animals brought me, I collected my water everyday, from the stream and I got food from the deer and the birds, the birds brought me fruit and the deer came down to my shack, I made friends with the animals and I only killed and took what I needed.
After a while the person who was in the woods before came back, he appeared right before my eyes, and I couldn’t see, because he was shining so brightly, I was nervous before him as I could sense he was very powerful I also felt amazement at his power, I gave thanks to him for helping me, then……
He said “a large one will come and fight you but fear not I will empower you, to kill him, after that, some officials will come and find you and help you, Just talk and I will hear you.”
Sure enough the giant (large person) came and tried to kill me. I jumped and dodged it, then he hit me and I did not feel it then I suddenly dropped and a dagger appeared in my hand, so I ran behind him and stabbed the giant in the head. He dropped. Dead.
“wow! How did I do that.” I thought.
Then I remembered what the man who visited me the other day said: “a large one will come and fight you but fear not I will empower you, to kill him”
It had come true. Just as he said.
I went on living as I had been for the past month.
I waited four more months and then on one fateful morning some police who had heard I was missing came and they found the giant I had slain and then they found me.
Not long after, I was back home recounting my story… the story you have just read; for all to hear… after that day, the day I was found, the world was a different place….. though it was in a good way so I was pleased.
